This system is the result of the collaboration among Zenithal (which has strong experience with RFID and tracking tools) and companies specialized in first-class hospital services provision. It started in 2004 when the HWO stated the high number of mistakes in health service provision and created the World Alliance for the Patient’s Safety in order to fight these problems.
- Zenithal Hospitals Triaje Set is a touch-based interface that can be used in urgencies and health services. It helps the doctor prepare a patient’s health report in a fast way, and which allows them to send it to the correct specialist without information losses. It can be integrated with a pulse-monitoring device.
- Zenithal Hospitals Location: RFID is a system that allows the tracking of patients and employees, and allows access to other hospital’s assets via RFID devices. It improves:
- Staff management where’s the nearest hospital porter?
- Resource management: where are the wheelchairs or stretchers that I urgently need?
- Decision-making: the system sends a message to the idle or nearest cardiologist in order to attend a heart attack
- Patients’ safety: in order to avoid that patients access potentially dangerous areas such as the building’s surroundings of the Intensive Care Unit with patients who are easily prone to infections
- Zenithal Hospitals Medication: RFid is a system is designed with the aim of administering the right drug and doses to patients, avoiding mistakes. The nurse uses an RFid scanner on the patient’s wrist (equipped with a radio frequency chip) and he/she knows the medication they need to administer immediately.
- Zenithal Hospitals Checklist: it’s a touch-based interface to use in the operating theatre which computerizes the instruments’ verification list to be used in the operation. The verification list will have been previously integrated in the hospital’s IT system, which allows the reception of patients’ data and the communication of the list’s results to be filed with the electronic patient’s historical file.
- Zenithal Hospitals Universal Doctor: it’s a tool designed to facilitate communication among medical professionals or doctors in different countries via a wider interface.
- Zenithal Hospitals TV: consists of equipment prepared to provide entertainment content (TV, phone, Internet) and medical management content (X-rays visualization, CATs, etc). The system functions via cash or credit-card payment according to the user’s preferences.
